That’s some bull.

An Iowa town is on high alert for an aggressive water buffalo on the loose after it escaped a dramatic police stand-off despite being shot by officers.

The intimidating animal’s owner called 911 to report that it escaped its enclosure and was wandering around the suburb of Pleasant Hill Saturday morning, KCCI reported.

“It’s running down the street. I need somebody to shoot it,” the unidentified owner told the cops.

Police struggled to guide the animal back to safety as it ran through yards and even casually hopped over a chain link fence, footage obtained by KCCI showed.

In another yard, the buffalo even briefly faced off against a small family dog.

At one point, a police officer called out “hey, bull!” hoping to get the animals attention, but to no avail.

The cops finally caught up to the water buffalo near a local bank, where an officer fired a shotgun and wounded the animal on its left side, according to body camera footage.

The animal disappeared shortly after it was shot, and has not been spotted since.

As of Monday, Pleasant Hill officials were still looking for the water buffalo with the help of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

The teams used a drone to conduct an extensive aerial search and sent officers out to scour local trails on ATVs.

“If anyone sees a Water Buffalo, DO NOT APPROACH IT…. The owner informed us the animal is aggressive,” the Pleasant Hill Police Department warned residents on Monday.

“The safety of the Pleasant Hill community is our top priority. With a dangerous animal loose in our community, we are using all resources available to keep our community safe and attempt to return the animal to its owner, if possible,” they added.

The Pleasant Hill Police Department did not return The Post’s request for an update on Wednesday morning.

Water buffaloes can weigh up to 2,650 pounds, according to National Geographic.

They are the largest member of the Bovini tribe, which also includes yak, bison, African buffalo, and species of wild cattle.
