Mark your calendars for an electrifying return! Mountain Jam, the cherished music festival and cultural gem of the Catskills, is making a grand comeback in June 2025 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Since its inception in 2005, Mountain Jam has evolved from a modest gathering celebrating Radio Woodstock’s 25th anniversary, to a bustling multi-day event attracting over 40,000 festival-goers. Known as the Northeast’s largest rock and camping festival, it’s upheld a unique intimate atmosphere despite its growth, fostering a sense of community and connection amongst attendees.
The festival has seen various iconic locations, initially enchanting audiences at Hunter Mountain Ski Resort with its natural amphitheater setting. In 2019, it moved to the historic Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, the site of the original Woodstock Festival, commemorating Woodstock’s 50th anniversary. This symbolic relocation underlines Mountain Jam’s deep roots in music history and culture.
Over the years, Mountain Jam’s stages have been graced by top artists and upcoming stars, creating a diverse and rich lineup, reflective of its expansive musical ethos. Although the 2020 festival was halted due to the pandemic, with a hiatus following uncertainty, the festival’s spirit remained undeterred.
Stepping into a new era, Mountain Jam promises an unforgettable celebration in 2025, with the festivities set at the scenic Belleayre Mountain from June 20-22. While the lineup remains under wraps, anticipation buzzes for what is touted to be a spectacular edition, rekindling the festival’s legacy of live music, community, and outdoor adventure. Stay tuned for a line-up that’s expected to surpass all expectations.
