A top chef and a mom protecting her child have died after being critically injured in separate attacks during London’s Notting Hill Carnival earlier this week, police said Saturday.

Mussie Imnetu, 41, and Cher Maximen, 32, were killed during the event — which is billed as Europe’s biggest street party, police said.

Imnetu, who worked under celebrity chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, Marcus Wareing and Alain Ducasse, was visiting London from his home in Dubai when he was hurt.

He died from “catastrophic brain injuries” after he was found unconscious with a head injury on Monday night near the event, police said.

Omar Wilson, 31, was charged with assaulting Imnetu, according to BBC. It’s unclear exactly how Wilson allegedly assaulted Imnetu.

The charge, however, will now be reviewed following the chef’s death, police said.

Maximen was stabbed at the carnival on Sunday in front of her 3-year-old daughter, who she shielded from the assault, police told The Standard.

Shakiel Thibou, 20, was charged for the attack on Maximen, police said.

London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan called the tragedy “heartbreaking,” adding, “thoughts are with their families and friends at this truly terrible time.”

Eight people total were stabbed and more than 300 people were arrested at the carnival this year, which draws over a million revelers from around the world.

“Carnival is about bringing people together in a positive celebration. That it has ended with the tragic loss of life, among other incidents of serious violence, will sadden everyone involved,” said Commander Charmain Brenyah, the police spokesperson for the carnival.
