Maybe it was Karma.

Shocking surveillance video captured the moment a would-be teen thief snatched an unsuspecting bystander’s cell phone and made a run for it — only to be stopped dead in his tracks by a bus.

The horrifying footage from Brazil, posted online on X on Saturday, shows the 17-year-old crook eyeballing a 71-year-old man who is talking on his a phone on a Sao Paolo street corner on Friday.

Surveillance video from Sao Paolo, Brazil, shows a teenager grabbing a 71-year-old man’s cell phone and running off.
The 17-year-old crook then makes a run for it, leaving the unsuspecting elderly victim stunned by the sudden heist.

The teen then lunges and grabs the phone, then dashes off leaving the stunned victim in his tracks.

But the teen, seen wearing shorts, a black t-shirt and a black baseball cap, is then pummeled by a city bus and dragged for several feet as he tried to run across the street.

The grisly video is obscured to shield viewers from what is obviously a gory outcome for the thief.

He was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, the post said.

“Karma is real,” one commenter wrote about the clip.

Quipped another, “I hope the old guy’s phone didn’t break.”

The unidentified crook tries to run across the street with the stolen phone but fails to look the other way before running.
The teenager is slammed by a city bus and dragged several feet. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Collin Rugg, the co-owner of Trending Politics, who shared the footage online, wrote on the site that the teenager “didn’t follow the two golden rules: 1. Don’t steal, 2. Look both ways before crossing the street.”
