If there’s an award for most consecutive field stormings in a college football season, it’s certainly been claimed by Gary Morse. This standout Class of 2026 baseball recruit embarked on official college visits that led him to historic victories—and field invasions—at Vanderbilt, Oregon, and Tennessee.
The 17-year-old from Bellflower, Calif., who is a towering 6-foot-8 right-handed pitcher, made the rounds by first visiting Texas A&M. However, it was his exhilarating escapades at Vanderbilt, where the Commodores toppled top-ranked Alabama, that kicked off his streak. Morse and friends sprinted from the stands to join the ecstatic crowd on the field, capturing the unforgettable moment on video.
The thrill continued as he witnessed the University of Oregon’s triumph over Ohio State, once again storming the field in celebration, while his father, Allan, proudly observed. Despite only visiting these schools as a baseball recruit, Morse reveled in the electric atmosphere college football had to offer.
Reflecting on his experiences, Morse marveled, “I’m living my best life.” The chance to attend three monumental games was unprecedented, and he humorously mused that his field-storming feat might qualify for a record itself.
With two official visits left to LSU and Texas, Morse remains open-minded and plans to make a decision before his baseball season begins, wary of yet another unexpected field rush.
