Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Tuesday said he had not considered JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon or BlackRock’s chairman and CEO Larry Fink for the post of Treasury secretary.
“I don’t know who said it, or where it came from, perhaps the Radical Left, but I never discussed, or thought of, Jamie Dimon or Larry Fink for Secretary of the Treasury,” Trump said on Truth Social.
Trump told Bloomberg earlier this month that he was considering Dimon for the top job at the Treasury Department.
Trump also said he would not seek to remove Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell before the central banker’s term ends.
