In a proactive move to ensure consumer safety, Reser’s Fine Foods has initiated a voluntary recall of their beloved macaroni and cheese offerings, specifically targeting their classic and white cheddar varieties. The recall was triggered by issues linked to a malfunction in the refrigeration unit of a trailer, raising concerns that the products sold across California, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota might have spoiled. Available at major retailers like Target, Safeway, and Stop & Shop, the impacted items are packaged in 12oz containers.
This recall is categorized as a Class II risk by the Food and Drug Administration, indicating that while the possibility of serious health problems is considered remote, there might be temporary or medically reversible negative health effects. As a cautionary measure, consumers are advised against consuming the affected products, especially those with allergies who might face additional risks.
Expanding the scope of its recall efforts, Reser’s Fine Foods has also pulled twelve more of its products from shelves, including selections such as Essential Everyday Original Potato Salad, American Classics Scalloped Potatoes, American Classics Asiago Creamed Spinach, and the sizable Raspberry Parfait Desserts. This follows a previous incident in July where Reser’s voluntarily pulled their Hill Country Fare Mustard Potato Salad due to concerns over potential contamination with hard plastic materials.
Customers in possession of any recalled products are urged to refrain from consuming them, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
